Official Public Meeting Schedule

The City of St. Louis has scheduled several high-level administrative and legislative meetings for Thursday, February 19, 2026. Residents are encouraged to participate in the public process by attending in person or via the designated virtual channels provided by the respective departments.

  • St. Louis Development Corporation (SLDC) Regular Board Meeting: Scheduled for 8:00 AM at the SLDC offices. The board will review ongoing economic development initiatives and project approvals.
  • Conditional Use Hearing: Beginning at 8:30 AM, the Zoning Section will conduct hearings regarding local land-use permits and business applications.
  • Board of Aldermen Committee Meetings: At 9:00 AM, both the Personnel and Administration Committee and the Health and Human Development Committee will convene to discuss pending Board Bills, including those related to municipal staffing and public welfare.
  • Violence Prevention PSA Selection Committee: A meeting will be held at 9:00 AM by the Office of Violence Prevention to review community outreach materials.
  • Citizens’ Advisory Committee: This meeting will take place at 5:30 PM, focusing on the city’s budget division and community spending priorities.

Public Works and Infrastructure Alerts

The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) and the City Department of Streets have issued the following advisories for Thursday evening and the coming days:

  • Route A Ramp Closure: The entrance ramp from Route A to northbound Interstate 55 in Jefferson County will close starting at 8:00 PM on Thursday, February 19, and will remain closed until 4:00 AM on Friday, February 20. This closure is necessary for the installation of noise wall panels.
  • Ongoing I-55 Lane Restrictions: Motorists are reminded that southbound I-55 remains reduced to one lane from I-44 to north of Bates, and two lanes are closed north of Bates to north of Weber through early 2026.
  • Winter Yard Waste Suspension: The Refuse Division reminds residents that yard waste collection remains suspended. Regular roll-cart yard waste pickup is slated to resume the first full week of March. Residents should refrain from placing organic debris in blue or green bins until that time.

Health Advisory: Seasonal Respiratory Update

The St. Louis Department of Health continues to monitor a significant increase in influenza activity across the city. Health officials report that Influenza A remains the dominant strain, particularly affecting adults aged 25 to 49. Residents are strongly urged to receive their annual flu vaccine if they have not yet done so. The department also recommends frequent handwashing and staying home when feeling ill to help curb the spread of seasonal viruses during this winter peak.
